Just thought I’d post up a couple of brief videos I put together with my new toy… a GoPro HD2 The first is self shot, and the second features my good mate Rodney. I’ve got another few ideas in the loop and fingers crossed the motivation continues.

This round of 2min Type features the newly conceived fiddle-typeface, Roundagon. The letterforms have been assembled from a selection of vector pieces - These are simply two concentric circles, with quarters and halves sliced out as required - Aside from that, I’ve just tried to create interesting shapes, or even art, if i may be so bold. The finalized letterforms are then airbrushed in Photoshop to create a slight faux 3D effect.

The imagery is from a texture project completed a couple of weeks back.

Its time for another round of 2min type! Just wanted to make sure all my followers were ready. (Hi Mum, hi Dad.)

This next installment has focused more on letter form, rather than the exploration of found type faces. As an unintended consequence, it has sort of birthed a font; albeit one which would never be of any use to anyone. However, if there is any interest in the letter forms, or working documents, I could possibly release these under creative commons.

The ABD Flow project is now complete. This has been a sweet little project over the last couple of months. I’ve scoured the internets high and low, hunting out the sweetest deals on the tastiest of parts. The result is surprising - For a guy used to big bike geometry, it rides really well. Neutral handling, in spite of relatively short dropouts and infinitely adjustable when lining up transitions. The interesting test will be, whether or not this little rig makes the Giant Reign X1 feel weird.

Right now, I’m just enjoying the kick I get out of manualing doubles - Something that 6.75’ of rear suspension has been preventing for the last few years.

Friday rounds out this set of 2min Typography.
